France – French casino sector begins to reopen

By - 22 June 2020

All French casinos can reopen as of today with even Ile de France, the most populous of the 18 regions of France, located in the north-central part of the country and often called the région Parisienne, returning to the green zone, meaning gaming clubs there can also reopen.

The top-earning French casino, Enghien-les-Bains in Val d’Oise, and owned by Lucien Barrière group said it remains cautious about reopening. It has had to adapt its offer, stressing that ‘all health and health security measures are implemented to ensure the reception and the quality of customers, with the greatest respect for government announcements.’

Usually offering 500 slot machines, the Enghien casino, had to modify its gaming offer due to social distancing measures. Only 300 slot machines will be available when it reopens along with 49 electronic table games.
