France – Joa Group becomes first in France to get ECA’s Responsible Gaming certification

By - 3 April 2022

The Lyon-based Joa Group has obtained the European certification for Responsible Gaming, issued by the ECA (European Casino Association), for its approach to responsible gaming, becoming the first casino operator in France to do so.

This recognition follows an audit conducted by an independent body (Global Gambling Guidance Group), which ensures that Joa applies the best European standards for its responsible gambling policy.

Since 2009, Joa said it ‘attached the utmost importance to responsible gambling. This is why the group has set up a major program called the responsible mission.’

In his approach to get involved beyond the regulations, it committed in 2019 to a certification process with the ECA.

“Certification requires a new perspective on the customer journey to provide the best protection for players who choose to visit our casinos. Entering a certification process corresponded to our values, and our internal teams quickly mobilized towards achieving this goal,” said Pauline Boyer-Martin, Marketing Director.

“The Joa Group has proven to be an excellent initiator and promoter of the ECA’s responsible gambling policy,” said Pieter Remmers, Chairman of the Board of Directors of G4 (Global Gambling Guidance Group), when presenting the conclusions of the audit validating this certification. Obtaining this certification, a seal of excellence, is a source of satisfaction for all the Group’s employees. It confirms the relevance and soundness of our responsible gambling practices and is a recognition of all the efforts made.
