France – Joa to operate future casino in Saint-Laurent
By Phil - 7 August 2018Joa, the third biggest casino group in France, has won its 25th casino licence with the award of the future licence in Saint-Laurent-Grandvaux, an alpine village in Eastern France.
Joa, who was the only candidate who responded to the concession notice, will invest €7.5m in the project which is close to the boder with Switzerland. A parking of 138 places is already planned at first. As for all its establishments,
The Joa group does not want to be limited to casino games alone and will offer recreational areas. The duration of the concession is 20 years, with a return of the building to the municipality at the end of it. It is aiming to be open by 2020.
Joa is looking to mirror the model of its casino at Giffaumont-Champaubert in Marne, which was an unexpected success, generating GGR of €11.4m.
