France – Montpellier’s new football stadium won’t host a casino

Montpellier Hérault Sport Club President Laurent Nicollin has confirmed that the football team’s future MHSC Stadium, which will be built in the Ode à la mer district, will not include a casino.
“There won’t be a casino. We discussed the possibilities, but there are things that are doable and others that are not. In the end, there will be no casino, Mr. Nicollin said.
The city of Montpellier is not currently eligible for a gaming establishment. The idea of a casino next to a stadium is not new. Olympique Lyonnais had already considered this possibility in the OL Land project, which ultimately did not materialise.
