France – Partouche retains ownership of Cabourg with relocation on the horizon

By - 13 June 2022

On June 7, the Partouche group, which already operated the Cabourg casino (Calvados), was awarded the new public service delegation, for a period of 12 years, concerning this establishment.

Three groups, then two finalists fought over the operation of this casino. To justify this choice of continuity with the Partouche group, Tristan Duval, the mayor of Cabourg underlined the exceptional nature of this agreement: an increase in the annual rent to 580,000 euros, the payment of 15 per cent of the PBJ to the municipality and a contribution annual culture of 350,000 euros.

The casino will leave its current location, on the seafront, for a new space, with an area of 1,800 to 2,000 m2, which will be erected near the future water fun center. This new casino should, according to an estimate made in October 2021 by Tristan Duval, increase the revenue of the Partouche establishment by 30 per cent. The move of the casino is planned for 2026
