France – Pornic casino to launch weekly poker tournaments

By - 5 December 2022

Having just celebrated its fourth year of operation, the Partouche casino in Pornic casino has announced it is to launch poker, by organizing tournaments every week, from Thursday to Sunday.

Director of the casino Stanislas Varella said: “We have set up two seminar rooms in the casino to accommodate players around eight tables: three for cash and five for tournaments. We also host a monthly event, organized with Texapoker. 12 to 15 tables are installed in the performance hall of the casino with the event attracting up to 300 players. We have also recruited a poker manager.”

Faced with this influx, reinforced by the opening of a hotel independent of the casino, but to which it is connected by a footbridge, the Partouche establishment and its director see the future with optimism. “We are also going to undertake work to create a terrace for the restaurant, with a view of the Ria, the river that flows in front of the casino,” said Mr. Varella. “With a capacity of about forty seats, it should open in the spring.”

Featuring 159 slot machines, 38 electronic English roulette stations, an electronic Black Jack table, an English roulette, two Black Jack tables and an Ultimate poker table, soon to be equipped with a progressive jackpot, the casino should also welcome new machines during the year 2023.

With a gross gaming product of €7,852m in 2020-2021, the Partouche casino in Pornic is in 40th place in the ranking of French casinos.
