France – SFC buys casinos in Capvern and Carnac

Société Française de Casinos is continuing to expand with the acquisition of two casinos in France, bringing its total to nine.

The operator has bought a casino in Capvern casino, a spa town in the High Pyrenees, following the death of the former owner. SFC is planning to invest more than € 1.5m over two years with the launch of new offers including poker as well as modernizing and revitalizing the operation of the casino , including taking the total number of slots from 50 to 75 machines. The Group also has a unilateral option to purchase the actual building.

SFC has also, through its subsidiary jointly owned with SFBC society Belgian Ardent Group, has completed the acquisition of Carnac casino from Group Barrière. SFBC has announced an ambitious investment program with the renewal and extending the range of under 90 to 100 of all new machines machinery as well as a modernisation of the venue’s catering, banqueting and shows to boost attendance.
This casino will operate under the brand Circus in France like in Port Leucate and Briançon.

The consolidation of these two casinos bring to the Group a number of additional business adjusted of more than €7m a year. In 2017, the Group will open Bagneres Casino Luchon.
