France – SFC falls with lock down longer than expected in 2021

By - 14 March 2022

The Société française de Casinos (SFC) recorded a consolidated turnover of €9.5m, down €6.9m compared to the previous financial year strongly impacted, of course, by the Covid-19 health crisis which ‘forced the Group to close its establishments for approximately six and a half months between November 1, 2020 and May 19, 2021.

The group, which operates four casinos located in Châtel-Guyon, Collioure, Gruissan, Port la Nouvelle, said: “This change is explained by a longer period of closure due to the health crisis (6.5 months in 2020-2021 compared to 2.5 months in the previous financial year). Outside of these closed periods, casino activity was fairly well balanced, testifying to the attractiveness of the Group’s offers and its resilience once the context had become more normal.”

The group generated a profit EBITDA of €1.4m over the year with second half EBITDA amounting to €2.6m. Net loss for the year was €0.6m.

The group added: “The group’s consolidated equity was reduced to €8.3m at October 31, 2021, compared to €8.9m at the end of the previous financial year.”
