France – SFC to invest €2m in renovation of Châtel-Guyon

By - 4 August 2021

The Société Française de Casinos has had its operating licence for the casino at Châtel-Guyon renewed for 10 years by the municipal council of Châtel-Guyon in the Puy-de-Dôme region of France.

The SFC will invest €2m to renovate the establishment. SAS Châtel Casino, a subsidiary of SFC, was the only applicant to respond to the call for applications launched by the municipality of this spa town.

The Chatel-Guyon casino is one of the four establishments of the Société Française de Casinos (SFC), of which the Casigrangi group took control at the start of the year with more than 75 per cent of the capital. The three casinos directly owned by Casigrangi (Granville, Mimizan, Megève) and the four of the SFC are now operated under the same brand, Stelsia Casino.

Rennovation works will be launched in 2022 and should make it possible to redistribute the interior spaces, in particular the gaming floor, with the creation of a smoking area for the players. The off-game area with the bar and restaurant and the common areas will also be renovated.
