A French slot player has scooped €2.6m on a slot machine after playing a two-euro coin at the Partouche-owned Saint-Amand-les-Eaux casino in northern France.
He was playing Megapot , which is available on 175 slot machines linked up in 38 French casinos run by the Partouche group. A total of 31 people have won more than 1m each in the last 10 years. The last big win was more than €1.9m at the Lyon Le Vert Casino in September 2020.
The €2.6m jackpot was a record for the Saint-Amand-les-Eaux casino across all of the house’s games since it was established in 1973.
The casino said: “It’s madness, The Megapot fell this evening at Pasino de Saint-Amand on machine 297. 2022 promises to be truly incredible at Pasino.”
