France – Tranchant looking to relocate Sète casino
By Phil - 20 November 2023
The Sète casino (Hérault) could have to move soon, a wish expressed by the Tranchant group which operates the venue.
The casino is currently on Place Édouard-Herriot, which does not fully satisfy the Tranchant group requirements. The area is considered too residential, not very accessible and lacking in parking. The Quai des Moulins has been put forward as an ideal place, since local public company Bassin de Thau (SPLBT) is carrying out a development project within this district of the eastern entrance to the city.
As reported by Journal des Casinos, the casino project could materialise by 2026, at the end of the public service delegation (DSP) which benefits SAS Sète Loisirs and had been extended from March 1, 2023 to February 28, 2026. At the end of the 2021-2022 financial year, the Sète casino occupied 154th place in the ranking of French casinos with gross gaming revenue of €4.57m.
