France – Tranchant opens new casino in French city of Pau

French casino operator Tranchant group has spent €11m on building a new casino, which opened on May 2 on the outskirts of the city

Located in the north of the city, the casino has opened with 100 slot machines, a progressive jackpot, seven Black Jack terminals and 16 English roulette. In terms of traditional games, there are four tables, one Black Jack, one Poker and two of Texas Hold’em Poker. A smoking terrace allows tobacco users to play on 20 casino slot machines and five electronic roulette stations.

The single-storey building, of 2,500 m2, against 1,800 m2 for the previous one, offers on the 500 m2 of the games room,

The restaurant with 40 seats has been installed in the heart of the slot machine room, and is therefore only accessible to adults holding ID. It is open from Wednesday to Sunday. Finally, a dance floor bar, the Royal Lounge, will be hosted by a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights until four in the morning. This fan zone will offer sports broadcasts on giant screens.

At the end of the fiscal year 2017-2018, the Pau casino generated revenues of €8,565,378,99, down of 6,65 per cent compared to the previous exercise, with 116,473 entries during this period ( down 6.39 per cent).
