Germany – Baden-Württembergisch casino revenues down at €46.8m for the year

The three casinos in the German state of Baden-Württemberg have recorded severe losses in 2021 as a result of the corona pandemic.

Gross gaming Revenues came in at €46.8m after €67.99m in 2020. The venues in Stuttgart, Constance and Baden-Baden were closed from October 2020 to 15 June 2021, said Otto Wulferding, Managing Director of Baden-Württembergische Spielbanken.

As a result of the closure, visitor numbers fell by 27.5 per cent in 2021 compared to 2020. Since the reopening last summer, operations have been limited. The table games such as roulette, blackjack and poker are particularly affected by the Corona rules. Only four players are allowed per table. Acrylic glass panes are set up between the squares for protection.
