Germany – Gauselmann opens fifth casino in North Rhine-Westphalia

Gauselmann Group has opened Merkur Spielbank Monheim, its fifth casino location in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Covering a total area of 4,800 square meters the venue offers a variety of state-of-the-art slot machines and 15 gaming tables as well as two elegant bar areas. An event area specially equipped for shows suggests additional entertainment in the new casino.
“The Merkur Casino Monheim is a modern, guest-oriented casino experience,” explains David Schnabel, Managing Director of Merkur Spielbanken NRW. “My special thanks go to all colleagues who have made the opening possible in recent months with the utmost commitment and passion.”
The fifth state-licensed casino in North Rhine-Westphalia not only offers entertainment, but is also a well-known employer and economic factor for the entire region. More than 150 employees are part of the new casino team in Monheim.
While everything settles in at the location over the next few weeks, planning continues behind the scenes: The grand opening – the “Winner Week” – will take place from May 11 to 17 with a week full of games, fun and winning.
