Germany – Relocation paying off for Spielbank Berlin

By - 27 June 2022

A year after relocating to its new location in Kurfürstendamm, Spielbank Berlin has drawn a positive balance. With an average of 500 visitors a day, the newest of the four locations in the capital ranks second along with the dependance on the TV Tower.

Gerhard Wilhelm, Spokesman of the Management Board of Spielbank Berlin, said: “The traditional Spielbank Berlin and the Kurfürstendamm belong together. The response from Berliners and their guests from all over the world is overwhelming. The exposed location on the Kurfürstendamm corner of Uhlandstraße creates a high frequency, and the modern interior design combined with the attractive range of games have developed magnetic forces.” Kurfürstendamm is the lifeline of City West and one of the most famous streets in the world. The boulevard is characterized by trade and gastronomy and is a must for tourists. Every year, millions of people visit the Kudamm, as Berliners call it, and stroll there not only for the numerous shops and entertainment, but also for the architectural and cultural highlights.

Klaus-Jürgen Meier, CEO of AG City, the working group of traders in City-West, added: “The world-famous Kurfürstendamm is a way of life, a cultural scene and a marketplace for Berlin and the world. We are very pleased that Spielbank Berlin has chosen this location and thus increases the attractiveness of the boulevard.”

The location has a play area of approximately 1,000 square meters. Upstairs, the “Classic Game” takes place at five tables (two American Roulette and Blackjack tables each, as well as an Ultimate Texas Hold’em table). In addition, there are 40 TouchBet roulette stations. On the ground floor there are a total of 100 slot machines. A varied gastronomic offer rounds off the visit experience in the casino on Ku’damm, and the lounge area in the rotunda with its wide view over the Kurfürstendamm enjoys particular popularity with guests.

The Spielbank Berlin on Kurfürstendamm has also welcomed numerous prominent guests, including para-swimming world champion and Olympic champion Elena Semechin, who is supported by Spielbank Berlin.

She said: “The new location of Spielbank Berlin right in the heart of Berlin on Kudamm is super elegant and immediately inspired me. The ambience is world-class, which is why I particularly like to be there. I am delighted to have such a strong partner.”

Last Saturday, around 600 guests celebrated the anniversary in the decorated Ku ́damm venue with anniversary cakes and sparkling wine.
