Greece – APEX climbs the peaks of Greek gaming

By - 31 May 2013

Just one year after gaining the licence to supply Greek casinos and after several months of testing in the field, APEX gaming is receiving excellent feedback from the Regency Entertainment Group having installed slots in both Thessaloniki and Athens.

The Greek casino market remains one of the most important and challenging in Europe, despite the uncertain economic times at present in the country. The number of slot gaming machine suppliers to the Greek casino market is limited and the barriers of entry are high to new suppliers.

APEX has had particular success with its Pinnacle upright cabinet with the Multi Magic Classic games selection.

Dimitris Kristallis, Slots Director at Regency Casino in Thessaloniki, said: “Entering the Greek casino market is probably the hardest challenge for any slot machine manufacturer in Europe. Our players are used to the very best. I am pleased that APEX belongs to this illustrious list”.

Petros Sarakintsis, Slots Director at Regency Casino in Athens, added: “The test with APEX has proven successful and we are pleased to be able to offer our customers new gaming variety from APEX. Their technology is excellent and their games have hit a chord with our players here.”

APEX is now hoping that the feedback from Regency will be used by further casinos and casino groups within Greece and APEX is set to become the next established major casino slot machine supplier to the Greek market.

Johannes Weissengruber, CEO and founder of APEX gaming, is naturally very proud to have achieved this milestone, noting, “We are very proud to have gained such feedback from Regency Entertainment. Being successful in the Greek casino market sends out a strong signal of our quality and games innovation in the market and further strengthens our position within the industry.”
