Greece – Casino revenues fall again in Greece

Greece’s casino revenue fell again in the first half of 2018 from €120m to €116.2m.

The 3.2 per cent fall followed a decline of 3.8 per cent in 2017. Visitation also suffered with 1,333,500 people visiting the country’s nine casinos between January and June, marking a fall of 2.3 per cent from the same period last year. However casinos in Thessaloniki, Mont Parnes and Corfu all reported higher attendance than last year with Thessaloniki, Thrace and Corfu even posting improvements in their revenues.

Turnover fell from €754.2m to €740m marking a 1.8 per cent decline from the first half of 2017.
