Greece – Intralot Security director elected President of ISACA

Intralot’s Christos Dimitriadis, Group Director of Information Security for Intralot has been elected International President of ISACA.

ISACA is a global association serving 140,000 information systems professionals in 180 countries. It provides knowledge, standards, networking and career development for information systems audit, assurance, cybersecurity, risk, privacy and governance professionals. ISACA offers the Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX), a comprehensive set of cybersecurity resources, and COBIT, a business framework to govern enterprise technology.

Mr. Dimitriadis said: “ISACA plays a vital role, at an international level, creating trust in and value from information and information systems, which subsequently act as business enablers promoting professionals and their organizations. With ICT being the backbone of the world economy, the key enabler of business innovation and a part of our daily lives, trust and value are more relevant than ever. I am extremely honored to serve as international president and look forward to working with our valuable international team on increasing ISACA’s contribution to the global community it serves.”

Mr. Dimitriadis has worked in information security for more than 14 years, has written more than 110 security-related publications, and holds two patents on novel fraud detection systems and game design. He has received innovation awards from the European Lotteries Association, the John W. Lainhart IV award for major contributions to the development and enhancement of the common body of knowledge used by the constituents of ISACA. He has also received the ISACA Presidents Award for Illustrious Service.
Mr. Dimitriadis has served ISACA in the past as international Vice President for three terms.

Outgoing ISACA International President Robert Stroud said: “Christos is an incredibly active member of our industry and his dedication to the field is extraordinary,” said, CGEIT, CRISC. “We are honored to welcome him to lead ISACA and look forward to all of his contributions, as we move the association further in our mission to serve professionals around the world.”
