Hungarian Lotteries Inc enjoyed its best ever year in 2020 with record revenue of over €1.9bn in 2021, representing an increase of over 20 per cent compared to 2020.
Over half the revenue has been generated by sports betting with over 480bn forints, which corresponds to a daily sum of 1.3bn forints. This turnover means the company should soon enter the top 10 in Hungary, according to General Manager Alex Bozóki who added that the percentage increase from 2021 was the second largest in the past 15 years, which is down to its efficient handling of the Corona crisis, the newly launched products and the various developments.
