IGT Lottery rebrands as Brightstar Lottery
IGT has rebranded its global lottery business as Brightstar Lottery, ahead of completing the sale of its Gaming and Digital division to Apollo Global Management.
Following the transaction, Brightstar will operate as a standalone, pure-play global lottery company. CEO Vince Sadusky (pictured) said the rebrand reflects a “future-forward mindset” as the company continues to support lotteries amid growing digital adoption and evolving player expectations.
Brightstar will serve nearly 90 lottery clients across six continents, including 26 U.S. jurisdictions and seven of the world’s top 10 lotteries, offering full-spectrum services from systems and instant tickets to operations and game design.
The sale of IGT’s Gaming and Digital segment to Voyager Parent, LLC, a holding company owned by funds managed by Apollo Global Management, is expected to close as early as July 1, 2025. The transaction, announced in December 2023, is valued at approximately $6.2 billion, and includes IGT’s land-based gaming, iGaming, and sports betting operations. Once finalised, it will mark one of the largest private equity acquisitions in the global gaming sector in recent years.
