India – Goa’s leading operator heralds ‘historic performance’ in 2022

Delta Corp. heralded an ‘historic performance’ in 2022 with revenues of US$153.5m showing an impressive increase of 68.1 per cent with gaming revenues doubling to an historic high of US$12m.

The company runs Goa’s two largest offshore casinos, Deltin Royale and Deltin JAQK, and its only floating hotel casino, King Casino, along with Casino Deltin Denzong in Sikkim. It has recently opened Deltin Zuri, a land-based casino in Southern Goa.

The fourth quarter saw revenue of US$33.9m, up 4.7 per cent from last year’s fourth quarter but was 18.6 per cent down from the previous quarter with gaming falling by 21.1 per cent sequentially due to Deltin Royale being closed for a month.

Delta Corp Chairman Jaydev Mody said: “The results reflect a good closure to the year and at the same time, we are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead. The year has shown a steady and robust performance vis a vis the previous years and we expect better performance in the years ahead. The information regarding launch of our new vessel is already in public domain and this will further propel the growth trajectory and help us achieve our desired goals.”

Group CFO Hardik Dhebar added: “The year witnessed a historic performance, the gaming revenue crossed the Rs 1.000 crore milestone and registered extremely strong EBIDTA and PAT numbers. We expect a similar performance for the year to come. Our focus on increasing our revenues and controlling costs will always be at the forefront. We will continue our focus on growth and improving margins.”
