Ireland – European Amusement & Gaming Summit delegates to enjoy Irish hospitality

With a hard-hitting programme addressing fundamental issues for today’s gaming and amusements sectors, the inaugural European Gaming & Amusement Summit (EGAS) has attracted a high level of interest and an impressive line-up of speakers and panellists. Taking place at Dublin’s InterContinental on May 12 to 14 2020, EGAS is expected to establish itself as a definitive event for both sectors.
EGAS organisers have confirmed that the Irish Amusement Trades Association (I.A.T.A.) has generously agreed to host a dinner for all participants at the end of the event’s first full day.
IATA President Jim Rickard is clearly delighted at the decision to hold the first Summit in Dublin and will be extending a warm welcome: “IATA is very pleased that Ireland is the choice for such a prestigious event. Our association with EUROMAT has been beneficial to the Irish industry and it is our intention to strengthen such links through events such as this. We are looking forward to EGAS in May and we’re determined to assist in any way that we can to make it successful,” he confirms.
IATA was formed in 1979 to support Ireland’s gaming and amusement industries and now represents 80 per cent of Ireland’s arcades.
Summit Organiser Karen Cooke said: “We cannot thank IATA enough for their generosity. The Dinner will be held at the historic Gresham Hotel on Dublin’s O’Connell Street. I.A.T.A. has a long and positive association with this iconic venue, and I know we will be well looked after. The evening will commence with a drinks reception at 8:00 p.m. with dinner being served at 08:45. Our hosts have thoughtfully arranged for the event to conclude by 11.00 p.m. to enable guests to explore Dublin nightlife.”
