Italy – NYX Gaming to access Italian poker with planetwin365

By - 11 August 2015

NYX Gaming Group and Austrian bookmaker SKS365 Group, the owner of sports betting and gaming brand planetwin365, announced the signing of a five-year contract to provide online poker and related casino games on the planetwin365 portal.

The deal comes as SKS365 Group is expanding further into regulated markets and plans to broaden its offer with nationally licensed poker and casino products.

The agreement will significantly enhance the player liquidity of NYX’s poker network and provides NYX the opportunity to expand in regulated European markets along with planetwin365. SKS365 Group received licenses for online casino gaming in Spain in June and acquired 1000 betting shop licenses in Italy earlier this year.

The planetwin365 website is expected to launch on NYX Poker in Q4 2015 and will move forward in line with the development of national licenses. SKS365 Group is currently working on acquiring national online licenses for Italy and will use NYX’s poker network and gaming products for the planned expansion in Italy and further markets. The companies entered into a long term global agreement with a minimum duration of five years.

“We are proud to have reached agreement with planetwin365, which operate an online sports book and gaming business that has shown impressive growth within the highly competitive gaming industry. This B2B deal and related acquisitions are important steps to meeting our commitment to shareholders to restructure Ongame and achieve cash flow breakeven for that division by the end of 2015 or early Q1 2016.” said Matt Davey, Chief Executive Officer of NYX.

“NYX will be an important business partner of planetwin365 as we commit to an increasingly nationally regulated environment. Our strong brand, market position and customer base in Europe will certainly be of great benefit to NYX and we, in turn, will gain local player liquidity and new games that are crucial to success in future markets,” said Thomas Smallwood, Chief Executive Officer of SKS365 Group GmbH.
