Japan – Caesars’ top management visits Japan

Caesars Entertainment Corporation’s President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Frissora and other members of the Senior Management Team visited Japan this week.

During the trip, Mr. Frissora announced that Caesars is extending its community engagement with a commitment of 25 million Yenallocated for Responsible Gaming initiatives in Japan. Frissora also discussed the company’s ambitions to work with Japanese officials and local partners to develop an integrated resort in Japan.

Caesars has followed MGM Resorts, Melco and Hard Rock in becoming an official sponsor of the 2025 World Expo in Yumeshima, near to where Caesars wants to build a casino resort complex.

Caesars CEO Mark Frissora believes a casino in Japan would become the company’s flagship casino in Asia.
The operator is believed to have presented its blueprint to build a n Integrated Resort in Tomakomai, a small port city in northern Japan.

The Tomakomai concept included designs featuring a caldera-like fountain surrounded by a hotel, theater and conference buildings to represent a volcanic nation.

Caesars has previously made formal casino proposals to government officials in Hokkaido and Osaka with Caesars VP Jan Jones Blackhurst pitching development costs at between $5bn and $10bn.
