Liechtenstein – Liechtenstein looks at swapping casino blacklists with Switzerland

By - 10 June 2022

Lichtenstein Economy Minister Sabine Monauni has confirmed that the tiny country intends to sign a corresponding agreement with Switzerland to exchange blacklists on banned casino players before the summer.

The Swiss National Council and Council of States as well as the Liechtenstein Landtag still have to approve this agreement. Lichtenstein currently has six casinos.

Currently, players who are banned in Switzerland or Liechtenstein could continue to play in casinos in the other country. With more and more casinos in Liechtenstein, however, the topic of blacklists has increasingly become a topic of discussion. There are currently no negotiations with Germany and Austria on a similar cooperation, as the foundations for this have so far been lacking in both countries.
