Lithuania – Gambling rebound in Lithuania sees revenues up by 44 per cent

Lithuania’s gambling sector surged by 43.8 per cent in 2022 to reach €195.8m during the year to December 31 2022 with revenues from gaming tables reaching an all time high.

Land-based revenues doubled with category A machines also achieving a personal best. Category B machines generated the second most revenue at €32.4m, an increase of 118.9 per cent on 2021, but still down slightly from pre-COVID results.

Online and mobile gambling came in with the lion’s share of revenue, accounting for 62 per cent of the market, at €121.7m, an increase of 18.6 per cent year-on-year. Category A online slots accounted for 38 per cent or €74.9m with sports betting next at €34.9m. Retail sports betting came in with revenues of €9.9m in 2022, up from €4m in 2021.

According to the Gambling Supervision Service, Lithuania has 39 gambling licensees.
