L&W’s major terminal upgrade for Mecca UK
Light & Wonder has announced a new agreement with Mecca Bingo to deliver next-generation gaming technology across all 50 Mecca venues in the UK. As part of the rollout, 850 new Equinox terminals have been installed, replacing legacy Clarity units, in addition 645 T8 cabinets are being upgraded with Mk8i hardware to support long-term performance and content expansion.
As part of the agreement, Mecca Bingo will also adopt Light & Wonder’s proven Videobet platform, enabling a seamless transition in anticipation of upcoming regulatory changes. L&W will continue supplying best-in-class content across B3, B4, and CatC categories.
The introduction of Equinox will provide Mecca’s players with an elevated experience, while continuing to offer the popular titles they know and love. Early performance is already strong, with games like Rainbow Riches Blazing Lock delivering impressive results.
