Malta – BiG Foundation sets dinner date in Malta

By - 19 August 2015

Following on from the inaugural post-event BiG Lunch at MiGS 2014, The BiG Foundation has announced it is to host its Sports Dinner event in conjunction with the Welcome Drinks for MiGS in November 2015.

The Microgaming’s BiG Sports Dinner will take place at The Caviar and Bull Restaurant in Malta’s St.Julians, on Tuesday November 17 2015, the opening night for MiGS 2015.

The Microgaming’s BiG Sports Dinner, the only sports dinner in the Betting and Gambling industry, raises significant funds for a number of charities.

Headline sponsors, Microgaming, are on board supporting the event through its Microgaming PlayItForward initiative, which serves to change the game for place and people. The event has secured John Barnes for the evening.

The event has also secured attendance from some industry heavyweights, including BMIT, EveryMatrix, MayfairRow, NetEnt, Poker Listings, Ali-Quantum Gaming and Secure Trading. Tickets are selling fast for this opening night event.

Richard Hogg, Founding Director of BiG, commented: “The success of the small lunch event we held in 2014 made it an automatic progression for The BiG Foundation to deliver its Dinner event. With Microgaming’s ongoing support, we hope to put on an event which is remembered for all the right reasons. Having John Barnes attend the event is a real coup for us. I am sure there will be lots of banter throughout the evening which we can use to raise substantial funds for the Foundation.”

Microgaming’s CEO, Roger Raatgever, added: “What started as a one-off event in London has grown into a series of events across Europe. We’re thrilled to be working with the BiG Foundation, to bring charitable events to the betting and gaming industry. With tickets selling quickly, we urge MiGS 2015 attendees to Play It Forward and book a place at the event. This really is a night not to be missed!”
MiGS’s, Sue Schneider, added: “We saw the success of the first two events delivered by BiG and are sure this will provide as fantastic platform from which to start the MiGS Seminar.”

The Microgaming’s BiG Sports Dinner is the only charity event in the industry that donates 100 per cent of the event and organisation profits to charity. The charities supported by the event are Puttinu Cares and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
