Malta – Icelandic duo launch European fantasy site Fanaments

By - 7 August 2015

Millions of sports fans are to be offered the chance to win money on multi-sport daily fantasy for the first time with the launch of Fanaments.

The new platform, which went live in Europe on August 6, offers players a host of football competition-based games including the English Premier League, La Liga, and UEFA Champions League.

But unlike the majority of fantasy sites outside the United States, it will also go live with sports including NBA basketball, Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed martial arts and PGA golf.

The Maltese-licensed platform, which is the brainchild of Icelandic co-founders Bragi Ægisson (CEO), Arnor Davidsson (CPO) and Gudmundur Sveinsson (CTO), allows users to choose a different team each game day.

Mr. Ægisson explained: “Daily fantasy has become a huge hit in the USA but its more traditional, season-long or weekend-only equivalent in Europe and elsewhere has gone stale.
“There are also few options to play for real money on this side of the Atlantic or on any sport other than football. We’re very happy to change that and add a new layer of excitement to people’s favourite sport.”

As well as daily fantasy, it provides players with a unique 1×2 Pick ‘Em game. This gives them the chance to predict the results of multiple sport fixtures in order to win a pot of money.
The product, which will soon also be available as an app, boasts the latest technology and a high level of real time data which gives users a thrilling game day experience.

It also features a host of player incentives, including a 20 per cent life-time refer a friend scheme, leader board winnings, deposit bonuses, and minimum tournament guarantees. It is free to try.
