Malta – Maltese Minister opens OGaming’s global HQ

OGaming, which operates EagleBet, has opened a smart global HQ in Sliema was opened by Clayton Bartolo, the country’s Parliamentary Secretary for the Financial Services and Digital Economy.
He was accompanied by Heathcliff Farrugia, CEO of the Malta Gaming Authority and Ivan Fitelli, CEO of GamingMalta, a non-profit foundation set up by the Maltese Government to regulate the gambling industry.
At present, OGaming has two online platforms – EagleBet, which covers the European market, and Brazil-focused BetGold, with more growth announcements expected soon.
Mr Bartolo, who unveiled a plaque marking the event, said: “I would like to wish all the best to OGaming. Other companies that have started out with a small presence have increased significantly their investment in Malta. And this is what I wish for OGaming, its staff, management and those who are directly and indirectly associated with the company.”
Thomas Golding CEO of OGaming added: “Malta is the global hub of iGaming and it made sense to have our base there. It is a sign of our growing significance that we attracted a Government Minister to our office opening. Malta’s openness and ease of doing business allows a young, ambitious company such as OGaming to build a culture of diverse ideas and skills.
“Since we launched in 2018 we have developed into a truly international company with our 30-plus staff representing more than 12 different nationalities.
“We have been thrilled with the success of our European platform EagleBet since its launch last year – we are seeing our players return month after month. We have exciting plans to add further regulated markets later in 2020 and beyond.”
