Merkur Spielbanken Monheim hosts second Merkur Dealer Championship
The second edition of the Merkur Dealer Championship, the best croupiers of the Merkur Casinos came together at the Merkur Spielbanken Monheim at the end of February. The event serves as Merkur’s in-house qualifying tournament for the German Dealer Championship 2025, which will take place from April 1 to 3 at Casino Bad Wiessee.
A total of nine Merkur dealers took up the challenge in Monheim and competed against each other in an internal trial of strength to secure one of the coveted tickets for the German Dealer Championship. The expert jury examined the croupiers in the disciplines Best Mathematician, Best Chipper, Best Cutting Chips, Best Pushing Stacks and Best Card Handler. Afterwards, the pros competed against each other in two main events: Black Jack and Roulette. The focus of the evaluation was on service quality, manual skills and the game overview. At the end of the exciting event, two dealers each from North Rhine-Westphalia and Saxony-Anhalt celebrated their triumph.
From Saxony-Anhalt, Josef Hlubucek secured a ticket to participate in the German Dealer Championship. In April, he will represent Merkur Spielbanken Sachsen-Anhalt together with his team partner Jun Kimura, who qualified by a wildcard. And Merkur Spielbanken NRW is also sending a high-performance team to the Upper Bavarian spa town with Dariia Budichenko and Jenja Asshauer.
“I’m really looking forward to going back to Bad Wiessee and proving my skills. The competition was strong, so it’s all the nicer to have qualified,” Dariia Budichenko said.
Casino Director Thomas Nowarra, who organized the Merkur Dealer Championship together with training coordinator Frank Huhn, said: “Four participants have deservedly qualified for the German Dealer Championship and will travel to Bad Wiessee. Each and every one of the highly motivated participants showed an impressive performance, of which we as the Merkur Casino Group are very proud.”
