Monaco – European Casino Association’s annual industry forum heads to Monaco

By - 21 June 2018

Monte-Carlo casino group Société des Bains de Mer is hosting the annual Casino Industry Forum at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo in Monaco.

The long-running annual European Casino Association event brings together the CEOs and board members of Europe’s licensed land-based casino industry to the world-famous casino destination of Monaco.

Besides the members of the ECA, the forum also includes the partners of the association that represent industry suppliers and a number of high-level experts in their field. The two-day event, which also includes the association’s General Assembly, will discuss key issues for the licensed land-based casino industry. High on the agenda and covered in dedicated seminars with policy-makers and stakeholders, will be gender diversity and the future trends and developments in anti-money laundering. A key topic will also be the growing issue of illegal unlicensed gambling, both online and offline, and the need for stronger efforts in tackling this growing issue for consumers, society, national governments and economies. Taking on the positive momentum in a number of countries to take effective action, the ECA will discuss the need for better enforcement of national gambling legislation.

ECA Chairman, Per Jaldung commented: “We look forward to welcoming our members, partners and all speakers to the 2018 casino industry forum industry at the Casino de Monte-Carlo and the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo in Monaco. The exclusive event, which is continuously growing will once again offer the chance to share best practices and provide the structured network for our industry that we envisage for our members and partners. The issues we will discuss show our ongoing commitment to taking concrete action on some of the key societal challenges of our time in line with our membership of the UN Global Compact and support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.”

Pascal Camia, Executive Vice President of the Gaming Operation of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer added: “We are proud to welcome the European casino industry in Monaco. Having joined the ECA in 2017, we look forward to showing our colleagues from across Europe the experience, style and flair of Monaco, including the iconic Casino de Monte-Carlo. The discussions planned for the two-day forum underline the ethos of excitement, entertainment and sustainability that our group stands for.”
