Montenegro – HIT extends bids for Maestral

ALTA Skupina and its subsidiaries (“ALTA”) have been appointed by the seller, HIT d.d. Nova Gorica, Slovenia, to act as its exclusive financial advisor and to carry out a formal sales process of the Maestral Resort & Casino.
The deadline for prospective bids had sought to be concluded in 2014, but ALTA has since extended the deadline to Friday, January 16, 2015.
HIT Montenegro co-owns and operates Maestral Resort & Casino, located on the scenic Adriatic coastline near Budva, a prime tourism location in Montenegro and centre of the country’s tourism. Maestral Resort & Casino is a 4+* luxury hotel with casino, congress, wellness and restaurant facilities. Casino business, for which HIT Montenegro holds the concession, constitutes the resort’s core activity. Hotel facilities primarily support the casino as a significant share of hotel capacity is available for casino guests only.
The casino covers 1,000sq.m. with 130 slot machines, three electronic roulettes and 18 gaming tables. The hotel offers a total of 214 rooms, among which 18 apartments range from 36sq.m to 154sq.m. The plot where the resort is located measures 25,748sq.m, while net building area is 18,587sq.m.
