New Zealand – Entain completes deal to takeover Sportsflare

Tiidal Gaming Group has completed the sale of Tiidal Gaming NZ, comprising Sportsflare, to Entain Holdings for C$13.25m.
The sale of Sportsflare constituted the sale of substantially all of the assets and operating activities of the Company. Sportsflare that esports (and gamer) betting will continue to accelerate and overtake most traditional sports, and blur the lines between sportsbook, virtuals, and casino.
It said: “We believe esports betting is the killer application for our disruptive technology, an area that has to-date been served by manual labor.”
Sportsflare’s player-focused solutions can increase sportsbook in-play odds uptime by twice the normal odds uptime, on many matches and exponentially increase betting options for each match to any possible combination of outcomes. With Sportsflare’s products, sportsbooks can cater to the new betting demographic with an esports-first digital betting experience. Modern bettors that consist of ‘Millennials’ and ‘Gen Z’ differ from their older counterparts as they favour and follow individual players as much as specific teams.
