Panama – Panama brings forward gaming’s reopening to March 6

Panama’s Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, has confirmed that the country’s casinos and slot halls has been brought forward by a week and will now be able to reopen on March 6.
Capacity will be restricted to 50 per cent with casinos in the districts of Panama, Panama Oeste, Coclé, Herrera, Los Santos and Veraguas, all allowed to reopen. Safety protocols include the use of physical barriers separating each machine and two meters of distance between them on casino floors. Customers will have their temperature checked upon entering the venues and the use of face-coverings will be mandatory. There will also be enhanced cleaning and disinfestation of the machines each time a guest finishes playing.
From February 27, the district of Changuinola, in the province of Bocas del Toro, will enter a total quarantine on weekends, until they manage to reduce the number of COVID-19 cases.
The National Charity Lottery (LNB) and the Presidente Remón Racetrack in Juan Díaz resumed their activities on February 9. Panama has been one of the worst affected Central American countries by the pandemic.
