Philippines – Attendance reaches a new high at Okada Manila with GGR up 29 per cent

Universal Entertainment has confirmed the continued growth of its Okada Manila casino in the Philippines with November showing a spike in GGR of 29 per cent taking its total to PHP3.76bn ($74.1m).

VIP turnover increased by 86.5 per cent coming in at PHP66.80bn ($1.32bn) whilst mass table gaming increased by 9.4 per cent with slot revenue jumping by 45.7 per cent to give a total PHP993m ($19.6m).

Attendance rates in November were at their highest since the resort opened with 542,158 staying at the resort for at least one night. The resort’s room quota will reach 1,000 in the first quarter of next year with rumours that an international hotel brand will also open on site.

Universal stated: “Going forward, in addition to plans to develop condominiums and other forms of real estate, we also have plans to collaborate with businesses with which we expect to have a synergy and entice major brand hotels. we also want to develop condominiums and other forms of real estate. This will strive to strengthen the profitability of our integrated resort business.”
