Philippines – Okada Manila up across all segments as visitation booms

Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment, the operator behind Okada Manila in the Philippines, saw its monthly GGR increase by 48 per cent year-on-year with property visitation attracting over 500,000 people.

Up from 370,291 in July last year, this year’s total number of customer visits hit 514, 020. July’s revenue came in at Php3.266bn (US$62.7m), up 48 per cent whilst EBITDA increased by 212 per cent. This was driven by all segments with VIP up 26.3 per cent. Mass table drop increased by 21.7 per cent, with revenue rising 51.4 per cent, whilst slot revenue increased by 38.6 per cent.

Universal is predicting more increases in the short term and will h in the coming months as it prepares to open more hotel rooms at the resort.

The company said: “From the second half of July, a number of rooms within Coral Wing (Tower B) have
started simulations and are now in operation. This will further strengthen the ability to attract more
customers.”
