2019 has been quite a year so for Universal Entertainment in the Philippines with its Okada Manila casino recording GGR of PHP 2,378 m (US$45.2m) in February, up 73 per cent year-on-year.
This follows on from January’s GGR being up by 134 per cent.
The operator said: “In addition to February being three days shorter than January, the decrease in gross gaming revenue in comparison to January 2019 was primarily due to the Chinese New Year holidays, particularly impacting VIP table games directly. This was expected, however, and volumes in VIP rolling, mass table drop, and gaming machine handle recovered for the latter half of the month.”
VIP revenue was up to PHP969m from PHP392m whilst mass market revenue increased by 64.9 per cent with slots up 27.2 per cent.
