Playbook Football lets players build their own team with a choice of more than 2,500 players from the world’s greatest leagues, including the English Premier League, La Liga and Serie A. Like mobile and video gaming football management titles, Playbook Football allows players to use their skill and experience to give themselves a degree of ownership over the outcome of the game and offers a persistent gameplay experience.
The fun is taken to the next level with Player Packs. These are unlocked as in-game rewards, or they can be purchased from the store using PBF Coins. Opening packs allow bettors to access higher-performing players, improving the competitiveness of their team.
Betting is a core part of the experience, with a choice of seven markets including result, both teams top score and first/last/anytime goal scorers. Playbook Fusion’s proprietary engine combines the abilities of both teams to generate a set of odds.
Players compete against other teams (those of other users and AI-generated sides) and choose to either watch the highlights play out in a match simulation, speed them up or skip straight to the result.
As they progress through the game, players receive rewards via built-in retention mechanics, including The Vault and Daily Rewards. They also get Player Packs and PBF Coins for winning matches and climbing up through the divisions.
This is done by winning matches in a seven-day cycle: players start in Division 10 and use skill and strategy to progress through to Division 1 where they can fight to become Playbook Football Champion. All progress is tracked on real-time leaderboards.
