Portugal – Portuguese casinos closing in on 2019 revenue figures

Portugal’s 11 land-based casinos generated a 77 per cent year-on-year improvement in GGR in 2022, bringing in €251.1m, just 20, per cent off 2019’s revenue figures.
Revenues were boosted by the total removal of all restrictions previously imposed by the pandemic, but had to deal with a customer shift towards online betting and social gaming. Revenues were down €64.1m from the €315.2m recorded in 2019.
