South Korea – Kangwon Land to expand gaming floor by ten per cent

Kangwon Land, the only casino in South Korea open to locals ,is to invest US$24m on an expansion that boost its gaming floor by ten per cent
The gaming floor will increase to a footprint of 15,486 square meters, adding140 to 240 gaming positions.
The operator is also expected to reopen gaming tables that have been out of operation due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The operator said: “We expect that the reinstallation of 32 table games that are not operating in accordance with the COVID-19 quarantine guidelines will help normalize casino business as well as prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection maintaining distance between guests.”
Kangwon Land’s licence will run until 2045.
