Spain – Aristocrat and GiGames join forces in Spain

Aristocrat Technologies has announced an agreement with GiGames, part of the CONEI Corporation, to partner in sales, after-sales support and other areas to help grow each other’s position in the Spanish market. The agreement will cover currently available and future Aristocrat games arcade/salon and bar markets, as well as potential machine deployments in other gaming sectors including casino and networked gaming operations.

Having established a firm base in the specialised salon segment and now entering the broader bar market, Aristocrat is seeking to maximise opportunities in Spain through this partnership. The agreement with GiGames will be the start of a great opportunity for both organisations, going beyond simple box and game sales, explained Aristocrat General Manager – EMEA, Pedro De Matos (pictured (right) with Juan Lao, President of Conei Corporation. “GiGames offer an established, significant domestic install base and a national logistics and rapid response network vital to our operational needs. Their local knowledge and expertise in this market provide the perfect match. Customers will benefit from not only the ready availability of our games but also a proven nation-wide back-up service that is so crucial in a diverse mix of single and multi-site venues,” he said.

Juan Lao, President of CONEI, said, “We have been impressed by the quality of Aristocrat gaming content and see this as a natural fit with our own successful brand of sales games. The additional variety will enhance the status of our operations estate and offers customers a unique games portfolio that will be extremely hard to beat in terms of both entertainment quality and performance.” Mr Lao added, “We look forward to a positive execution of this agreement and also to exploring further areas of mutual benefit as together we are able to leverage our respective areas of experience across a number of different gaming sectors and channels.” Furthermore, Mr Lao pointed out that “This partnership will have more than enough potential to resolve all developments that occur in the Spanish gaming sector, both land-based and online.”
