Spain – EiG Congress to host five panel LaunchPad

By - 4 October 2013

Five of the iGaming industry’s hottest talents are preparing to face a panel of industry experts, investors and executives at the 6th annual LaunchPad event – taking place as part of the upcoming EiG Congress & Expo in Barcelona, Spain (October 8 to 10).

The five short listed finalists have been selected from across the iGaming spectrum, and have earned the opportunity to pitch their ideas to capital investors and financers, all looking for the next big industry innovation.

As well as being able to pitch their ideas to the most influential audience in iGaming, the finalists will also be given the opportunity to showcase their enterprises at the Start-Up Village with a stand on the EiG Expo floor. The full-list of shortlisted Launchpad finalists comprises: Btwiice: an in-running football betting insurance for small and medium size sportsbooks which is offered as a cash-out app for the player; Steamsharp Technology: a fully automated price setting software, driven by data and math; Six Faces: whose new game, Swopstakes, is an interactive lottery game determined by the result of real sporting and racing; LottoRace: a Social Player vs. player game of chance that offers guaranteed winners in every game, and, Element Wave: a SaaS platform for B2C brands to boost mobile app revenue through user engagement. The winner will be selected in audience voting, following their pitches and a panel Q&A.

Heralding their involvement at EiG, Mark Homayoun, CEO of LottoRace, said: “The EiG Expo is the premier event for our industry. Being part of the EiG launchpad is an amazing opportunity for us to connect with thought leaders in our industry and showcase our new product.”

Six Faces Strategy Director Shaun Pyrah, continued: “We see EiG’s Start-Up LaunchPad as a money-can’t-buy opportunity to showcase our innovative products in front of the iGaming industry’s key decision makers.”

“We are really happy and enthusiastic to participate at the Launchpad as it will be a great opportunity to introduce our StartUp to the large panel of industry experts and professionals attending EiG,” Btwiice CEO Julien Cunze concluded.

Kate Chambers, Portfolio Director responsible for EiG said: “The iGaming industry grew from very small beginnings and was driven by the vision and determination of real technology entrepreneurs.  It is therefore totally appropriate that EiG, Europe’s definitive iGaming business event, should continue to foster that same spirit of invention and enterprise.  The five finalists have done extremely well to get this far and I wish them all the best of luck as they present their business plans and vision in what is a pressured atmosphere underpinned by expectancy.”

Looking ahead to EiG she added: “2013 is a big year for the brand and we have pulled out all of the stops in order to continue to deliver the knowledge and the networking which are the cornerstones of Europe’s defining iGaming business event. EiG 2013, which will feature 130+ thought leaders alongside 80+ exhibiting companies, is a unique iGaming event for Europe.  With new features including The Pitch, interactive workshops and pit-stop tutorials, we have, I believe provided a solid platform from which EiG will grow further and build on its influence.”
