Spain – Paddy Power to deliver sports betting to Retabet.es

Paddy Power is supplying its sports betting product to Spanish betting company Reta (www.Retabet.es).

This follows the recent extension of existing partnerships with Paddy Power by PMU in France and BCLC in Canada and the ongoing relationship with Niké in Slovakia.

RETA, meaning ‘challenge’in Spanish, started operations in 2008 with the land based betting regulation of some regions in Spain. The Group has staked more than €750m since it started operating and uses its own betting software and hardware technology that includes the most advanced multichannel offer in Spain with its SSBT as a star product.

Based in Bilbao, it has more than 1700 POS located in seven Spanish regions and will be operating in new regions in the near future. Since June 2015 it also operates a Spanish online License (www.retabet.es)

RETA Group has two retail betting B2B clients of its own in Aragon and Catalunya (Spanish regions) that have adopted its SSBT and trading services.

With its €7.3m 2014 profit before tax and its retail leadership, the Group is aiming to be one of the key players in the Spanish betting market consolidation.

Since 2010 Paddy Power has been providing Sportsbook product (event creation and management, pricing and risk management) to PMU. This contract was renewed in June 2015. It has partnered with one of the most progressive government regulated gambling operators, the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) to provide Sportsbook product (event creation and management, pricing and risk management) for the Canadian market. BCLC is a member of the World Lottery Association (WLA). This contract was renewed in June 2015.

Since November 2013 Paddy Power has been providing live content (in running event creation, pricing and settlement) for Niké, Slovakia’s largest bookmaker.
