Spain – Real Madrid includes plans for a casino in remodelling of Bernabéu stadium

By - 23 March 2021

The plans for the remodelling of Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu stadium include space for a casino, capable of generating revenue for the club of €120m.

Club President Florentino Pérez has said that remodelling, scheduled for 2023, will cost more than €575m, but that the casino would help the club recoup some of that money.

Each structural corner of the stadium will be used to generate extra revenue streams for the club with other amenities including a first class restaurant, as well as a new museum, spaces for tours and events, integrated shops and 360 screens everywhere, including a video scoreboard.

Mr. Pérez said: “For many more unforgettable moments at home, we present you the Santiago Bernabéu of the future.”

A 360-degree video scoreboard will be installed inside the stadium together with high-quality audiovisual media, to provide the public with content that will enrich their experience in the stadium during live matches, offering the comfort of using their mobile phones from their seats, opening the arena to ‘second screen’ promos and betting.
