Sweden – Casino Cosmopol in Stockholm appoints Virpi Törnroth as its new Head

State-owned Swedish operator Svenska Spel has confirmed Virpi Törnroth has been appointed new head of Casino Cosmopol in Stockholm, where she will be responsible for the casino’s entire operations with games, food and entertainment.
She comes most recently from a position as manager of Clarion Hotel Amaranten in Stockholm, which is part of Nordic Choice Hotels. Virpi Törnroth will be part of the business management of Casino Cosmopol and report directly to the CEO. She will take up her new position at Casino Cosmopol on March 21, 2022.

There has been a lot of interest in the position with many qualified candidates, and I am proud to present Virpi as our new head of the casino in Stockholm. With her solid expertise from hotels, restaurants and events, she will be an important addition to the business management and to the casino’s operations. In addition to experience from service and sales, she is also an experienced leader with good insight into the hospitality industry in Stockholm,” says Per Jaldung, CEO of Casino Cosmopol.
Virpi Törnroth has a broad experience in hotels and restaurants with a focus on sales and service. She has worked in a number of positions within Nordic Choice Hotels since 2011, most recently as Hotel Director for Clarion Hotel Amaranten on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. Prior to that, she was director of Clarion Collection Hotel Tapto in Stockholm, sales manager for Nordic Choice Hotels in Stockholm and Finland, and sales manager for Clarion Hotel Sign in Stockholm.
