Swedish online gaming operator Cherry has appointed Alexander Pettersson as its new group CFO with immediate effect.

Alexander Pettersson succeeds Fredrik Burvall, who in December assumed the position of Acting CEO. Alexander has a solid background in online gaming where he has successfully been running companies in the role of CFO. He has also worked within strategy and sales at Betsson and as an auditor at PwC. Alexander is 32 years old and holds a Master of Science degree from the Stockholm School of Economics, specializing in Accounting and Financial Management.

Fredrik Burvall, CEO Cherry, commented: “Alexander’s experience working as a CFO and within online gaming will support Cherry’s continued growth as we focus on rapidly increasing profitability.”
Alexander Pettersson commented: “I’m looking forward to getting started at Cherry. The company has a strong position within online gaming and it is an exciting time to join following some recent acquisitions and a clear revenue building strategy.”
