Sweden – Swedish gaming up four per cent with reopened casinos up 40.7 per cent

Sweden’s gambling regulator Spelinspektionen has announced a four per cent improvement in revenue during the second quarter of 2022 with revenues coming in at SEK 6.75bn.

With casinos closed from March 2020 to July 2021, Casino Cosmopol bounced back to SEK 145m, an improvement of 40.7 per cent from the first quarter of the year.

Svenska Spel’s lottery and Vegas slots generated revenue of SEK 1.41bn, up one per cent year-on-year and 10 per cent quarter-to-quarter. Online betting and gaming revenue came in at SEK 4.22bn, the same amount as the previous quarter.
