Sweden – Yggdrasil appoints Frida Gustafsson as CFO

By - 20 July 2016

Yggdrasil Gaming has announced the appointment of Frida Gustafsson as chief financial officer in a new role created following the supplier’s rapid expansion over recent months.

Frida Gustafsson joins Yggdrasil after spending more than six years in a number of roles at NetEnt, most recently serving as the listed supplier’s finance manager for tax and new markets.
She was previously an auditor for Deloitte Sweden and will be based at Yggdrasil’s Malta headquarters.

The appointment comes as the continued expansion of Yggdrasil demands a more complex corporate structure to operate.

Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO at Yggdrasil Gaming, said: “On behalf of the entire Yggdrasil team, I’d like to extend my warmest welcome to Frida. As Yggdrasil grows, it is important we assemble a world-class team of executives and Frida is one of the sharpest financial minds in gaming. She will be a huge asset as we continue to expand as a company.”

Frida Gustafsson, CFO at Yggdrasil Gaming, added: “I am delighted to be joining Yggdrasil at such an exciting time. Everyone in our industry knows about Yggdrasil, and from what I’ve seen already there is an opportunity for massive growth over the coming years. I look forward to being a part of the company’s ongoing success story.”

The appointment of a CFO is the latest hire in Yggdrasil’s ongoing recruitment drive which has seen the company expand to more than 65 members from just 25 one year ago.

This has resulted in an expansion to the company’s Malta office and its global tech centre in Poland, as well as the development of a new commercial operation out of Gibraltar.
