Sweden – Yggdrasil goes live with six new brands

By - 4 January 2016

Yggdrasil Gaming has achieved rapid growth over the past 12 months and that is certain to continue in 2016 with six leading brands recently going live with the supplier’s entire slots portfolio.

As well as landmark deals with BetClic, Expekt and Monte Carlo Casino, three major brands under the BetClic Everest Group umbrella, Yggdrasil’s games have now also been added to Casino Heroes, Sunmaker and Kaboo.

All now benefit from the supplier’s suite of 12 video slots, Infinite API™ for gamification, and the recently launched ‘Boost’, a collection of promotional tools that includes the unique Super Free Spins and in-game tournaments and raffles.

Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO at Yggdrasil Gaming, said: “Our games are a massive hit with both our customers and their players alike, which is why Yggdrasil has been able to sign so many significant deals. Our iSENSE 2.0 framework enables us to design games which are attractive, have maximum playability and enhance the platforms of our customers. The recent launch of Boost has taken our focus on gamification to the next level and we’re very proud to be live with so many of these leading operators. It’s been a tremendous year, but we’re looking ahead to 2016 and are determined to continue this strong growth.”

The BetClic, Expekt and Monte Carlo Casino brands have been successfully delivering games for almost 20 years, and are popular across Europe with a particularly strong base in Northern Europe.Scandinavian platform Casino Heroes has grown quickly over the past two years, taking on only the best in slot and casino games – this deal was signed and went live within just three weeks.Sunmaker has been established for more than a decade and delivers top online casino games across Europe.Kaboo is the cutting-edge online casino launched in 2015 from the BetIt Group, the leading Malta-based platform.

Yggdrasil was also recently awarded the licences required by the UK Gambling Commission to offer its proprietary gaming platform and games to British residents, as the fast-growing supplier seeks to capitalise on a game-changing year.

Mr. Elmqvist said: “This is a hugely exciting next phase in our development. The UK is a very important market and thanks to the way our games are performing, we’ve already received six signed clients and a great deal of interest. I actually believe that the UK slots market will develop like some Nordic markets have done over the past seven years. Quality and mobile will drive the UK slots market forward and we’re looking forward to being an active part of that.”

Mario Petraglia, Head of Legal and Compliance at Yggdrasil, added: “We have already certified games and platform according to UK remote technical standards. We fully appreciate the efforts the UK Gambling Commission puts in balancing the need to protect players with the latest technological developments and an industry striving for innovation. We look forward to a long standing co-operation with the UK Gambling Commission for the mutual goal of offering exciting and safe entertainment to British players.”
